Recalled Product- Not Destroyed
There has been much speculation about what happened to all the recalled product sent back to GlitterSniffer Cosmetics for refund. According to the company's own recall/refund policy any recalled pigment returned for refund would be verified for authenticity and then discarded.
Within the last month now Ex GS Admin Carolyn visited GlitterSniffer Cosmetics and its proprietor, Lela Warren. She came home with roughly 600 hundred of the recalled pigments.
There are 261 pink pigments alone.
It is unknown at this time if this represents all the recalled product sent back to GlitterSniffer Cosmetics, or what, exactly, the company did with any other recalled product it may have had in its possession. The only thing that is clear is that the products were not destroyed as the company committed to do, and were in fact willingly dispensed, despite their recall status.

What of the e-bay listing for this? Did she fraudulently set up a listing?
ReplyDeleteMoonkin- The Ebay listing was for her old ingredients. These are recalled products sent back to GS for refund.
ReplyDeleteMoonkin- this wasn't even the ebay sale. this was a separate occurrence. here is the post about the ebay one: http://glittersniffercomplaints.blogspot.com/2011/02/old-stock-and-vegan-question.html
ReplyDeleteWOW, just WOW!
ReplyDeleteWTF is wrong with this woman? It's like she's trying to make GS the most awful company possible. It makes me wonder if she can actually comprehend the difference between right and wrong.
ReplyDeleteWhy did this chick take the pigments if she knew they were recalled and should have been trashed??
ReplyDeleteI remember when Carolyn was Admin of the Glittersniffer group and I couldn't stand her. She made this giant post about how we could have nothing to do with the complaints page and then for days would 'bump' it to the top. It was very annoying to say the least. And then suddenly she hates GS????
And what an extreme jump.... going from being a GS Group admin to a top advisor on the complaints page. Does this not seems a little odd to anyone but me?
These are being dispensed?!?! As in sold/given away for re-use? Does she not realize these are most likely USED? And may have additional bacteria (to the crap that was already there via Lela)?! I am so disgusted by this woman.
ReplyDeleteI have to agree with stars, this is just a little unsettling. Regardless of which side of the batte you are on. She took those pigments full knowing what they were, when she was a FAN. Now all the sudden she has a stick up her ass and is trying to use this as evidence. Evidence to what? Yea I'm sure Lela did keep alot of those pigments for herself and others that wanted them. I just can't really trust Carolyn at all.
ReplyDeleteMore than anything, I think it's admirable that Carolyn has switched and apologized. I mean, she was trying to believe in something/someone and be loyal, yet when it came down to actual proof, she wasn't afraid to speak out.
ReplyDeleteI never bought, but really considered it. I was researching and trying to sort out if these really were dangerous cosmetics or if it was just some sort of drama. It's important that people who have seen what's going on first hand speak out about what they've seen so no one else has to get hurt.
Thanks, Carolyn and everyone at Glittersniffer Complaints! You certainly saved my eyes!

I can understand people being skeptical of Carolyn and her coming forward with her information and pictures. With that being said I can also understand where she is coming from with coming forward. At some point most of us were pulled into to the GS world to some extent, some more than others. There are MANY ladies who have acted in the same way Carolyn did in defending Lela and GS and have since retracted their support. I think for the majority of people who have left there was a day where they just finally saw the truth and said enough is enough. I think Carolyn went into her visit with Lela with high hopes of everything being all sparkles and rainbows but by the end of her trip she had seen the truth with her own eyes. The fact she came home with products that were either recalls or items people sent back for refunds just goes to show that GS did not do what was promised once again. Is it something would have done? Knowing what I do now yes I would have, just to know that these items would not end up in someone elses hands. I think we should remember that Carolyn was physically in Lelas home and we don't know the full extent of what she saw and dealt with while there. Try talking to Carolyn about it she has been very open and upfront with people who are asking questions. I don't see her as a top advisor on the complaints page I see her as yet another person who was hurt by the actions of Lela. It just so happens she has some very damning evidence to back her up. I give her props for coming forward and facing the glitter mob.
ReplyDeleteI think Carolyn is brave and awesome. Also, if she was such a fan and quickly changed teams, that tells you something about GlitterSniffer! We all make mistakes and some eventually see the light, and I'm glad that happened for Carolyn.
ReplyDeleteChaos- If I am understanding your comment correctly then you are stating that Carolyn is dispensing the recalled products, yes? If so, then I must apologize that it is not clear in the post. GS dispensed them to Carolyn, after promising that they would be destroyed. Carolyn now has them in her possession, and no idea what to do with them. I hope that clarifies this a bit.
ReplyDeleteSlipcookie- Thank you for your comment. The recalled colors being in Carolyn's possession are clear evidence that they were not discarded as GS stated they would be. Regardless of how she felt about the company when she received them, the plain fact of the matter is the once again GS did not fulfill one of its many commitments to its customers. You may or may not agree with Carolyn personally, but the pictures are highly relevant.
I'm sorry I miss understood, I just re-read and now I see where I was mistaken. I have nothing against Carolyn at all.
