Corporate Email

I returned to work today after a short period off. I was reviewing my email when I came across a correspondance from GlitterSniffer Cosmetics. The email was sent to my corporate email address on Sunday.

As has been my policy I will not post the entire email, but in sum Lela Warren asked at what point I was going to take down the page. She also asked my opinion on whether she should send "her girls" to post to the page as people were posting to the GS page.

I will not respond via email to these questions as I have no wish to be contacted via that method. The company has 2 emails with which to contact me at and could have easily done so. My corporate email was never released to them and they did not have permission to contact me via that channel. Though I am now making it clear that the company may not contact me in that way, I have also taken the additional steps of blocking the email address and contacting corporate security.

As I never released my corporate email to the company to use it is possible that my personally identifying information was used to obtain it. That information was never intended to be used in that manner.

I will be contacting the FTC tomorrow. I have also been in contact with an attorney who will be advising as to my rights in pursuing this matter through all available channels.

  2. Unbelievable! How immature do you have to be to stoop that low? But I suppose we all know the answer to that question.
After leaving GS Fan page, I have never gone back to post to it. Despite being PHYSICALLY HARMED by Lela Warren & her glittersniffer "makeup". You have never TOLD us to go post. Any people that do, have done so of their own volition and all directly because of the actions of Lela Warren. If she wants people to stop, she should do the right thing and return their money. And stop making makeup for god's sake. If you aren't going to do it properly STOP. It is not that hard to wash your hands, put on gloves, a face mask & use a clean preparation surface. But if you refuse to do it, just stop. Do the right thing. There are women who have sent back their makeup as instructed in order to receive their refunds who are STILL waiting. Of course those people are going to be upset with you! Every time I think I can not be more disappointed in a human being, she some how manages to do something worse.

  4. I wonder when she will finally get that it is over. Anyone who is a smart consumer will find that their reputation is horrific and this site only highlights what has already happened that Lela could have remedied, if she had just used common sense.

This woman is awful. I'm sorry but she needs to use her "talent" for something else. Lela, if you're reading this, get out while you still can.

  5. Honestly? I think she's still chugging away at production because she has no money to refund anyone with. Two PayPal accounts shut down by PayPal themselves should have been a red flag to everyone, 'cause the checkout she uses now isn't going to force refunds and offer buyer protection like PayPal did.

Lela, I haven't seen this blog tell, or even suggest, anyone go to your "fan page" and say anything. If people are doing it, they are doing it of their own violation. You doing your best Xenia impression isn't going to make ANYONE take your side.

  7. Red- Excellent question. It has never been the position of this blog to pursue the matter via that legal channel. I have been refunded so that is not a course of action I can take. Others may choose to handle it differently.

To be honest, a class action law suit has a much better chance of succeeding with the backing of a federal agency. That backing has not been offered. Attorneys may be reticent, as there is very little chance of recovery, and it is cost prohibitive for most consumers to pursue. GlitterSniffer Cosmetics carries no liability insurance.

Small claims is iffy, depending on every individual state law. In my state the claim has to be filed in the defendants home state and you must attend all hearings(which the defendants can continue on indefinitely) in person. Not a very viable option.

It's a combination of factors that have led to this unfortunate situation for most that have purchased, starting with GS disregard for regulations, to regulatory inaction, to people simply being worn down by the company's reticence. If there were any other way for people to recover other than documenting and informing I trust it would have been taken by now, though I am certainly not privy to all action that all people have taken. These are just the actions I have personally taken. Others may choose to use the information as they wish or pursue it in another way. That does not mean people are not still looking for relief, but that they are doing all they can with what they have at this point.

GlitterSniffer Cosmetics is located in Dearborn Heights, MI, USA.

I hope that answers your question.
