Others Experiences

Well, I guess I'm not alone. I will be updating my complaints with this supporting information.

Krissi has a Facebook post regarding her experience. Reading this, and the numerous comments after, I am glad I never placed a second order.

More reports to the BBB and Artfire, and a refusal from GS to refund for all pigments purchased due to false advertising.

I have also decided to simply amend my complaints to the AG and the FTC regarding the possible charity fraud. Too be honest, it would take much more time to file again, and since it'd about the same company I figure that will all get to the right place eventually.

  1. The Charity fraud was confirmed by Lela herself indirectly. She admitted that she did not donate any of the money and plans to, but can't because of everyone making claims against her...

  2. Sarah-I remember seeing that in one of the screenshots I have linked to. I'll have to review again and possibly upload the photo as well.

I'm really on the fence about the charity situation. It seems to me maybe GS intent was not fraud and they just got caught up in the recall. For all we know had the recall not happened the donations would have been made, since they were supposed to make them on 12/23/10.

Now, GS has done nothing to make me give them that benefit of the doubt, but honestly, I'd like to think that they had every intention of donating. It doesn't excuse them, since they got themselves into this mess in the first place by selling unsafe products, but, at least for right now, I'd like to believe that there was some morally redeeming quality there.

I sincerely don't know for sure, so I figuired I would stick it in the complaint and let the AG and FTC sort it out.

  3. I filed an AG complaint as well. I hope we all see some resolution.

Thanks for this blog. It's a great resource for many of us who feel helpless about this.

  4. Sarah-You are very welcome. I relaly only started it to keep track of all the complaints I filed. I'm glad that others are finding value in it as well.

And I agree, it's nice not to feel alone in this.

  5. I'm thinking about writing a blog about my experience. I didn't waste a ton of money (thankfully) but still got pretty screwed over. I'm glad I found this blog so I can keep up with all the info.

  6. Dez-Thanks so much for commenting on my little corner of the web. Let me know if you blog so I can link back to it in my "Others Experiences" posts.
